OUR IDENTITY

OUR IDENTITY AND MISSION AS CHRIST VERY PRESENCE

Our Lord Jesus Christ links the nature of our new creation, relationship, fellowship, personality, sanctification, and functions to the Godhead and personifies every facet of our lives as children of God in Himself in proclamations such as:

  • Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the work I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:12-13; NKJV).

  • Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you (Jn 14:19-20).

  • Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds (Jn 10:24).

  • The glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me (Jn 17:22-23).

  • As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world (Jn 17:18; 20:20-21).

  • I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing (John 15:5).

  • You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Mt 5:14-16).

The apostles in the Holy Spirit illuminate and affirm Christ’s claims of who we are in their revelation that as Christians:

  • We are one in spirit with Christ (1 Cor. 6:17).

  • We live, move, and have our being in Christ (Acts 28:17).

  • We are who Christ is in this world and live by His faith (1 John 4:17; Gal. 2:20, KJV).

  • We are complete in Christ in whom dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9-10).

  • We are Christ’s ambassadors and God’s righteousness on earth (2 Cor. 5:21-22) in Christ’s name and righteousness (1 Cor. 1:30).

  • We are made alive with Christ, raised up with Him, and now seated in Him in the heavenly places on God’s right hand, far above all principality, power, might, and dominions (Eph 1:20-2:10).

  • We are set apart to perfect God’s will by manifesting His manifold wisdom to principalities and powers in the heavenly places, and manifold grace to all people on earth. (Eph. 3:10; 1 Pet. 2:4).

As the body of Christ, we live to the utmost capacities and capabilities of “who we are” in Christ. We are in the same Father’s business, with the same means, for the same reasons and cause in the same name of the Father as Christ’s sent disciples, just as the Father sent Him (Jn 20:20). We live and serve on account of Christ’s faithfulness with a Christocentric-driven willpower, love, and mindset. Thus, evangelizing and discipling people of all nations and backgrounds into the redeemed life of intimate relationship and fellowship with God in Christ, so together we will grow spiritually and love and glorify God with all our hearts and souls, even as we continue to grow and live in His holiness, integrity, authority and power through the fellowship and empowerment of the Holy Spirit in Christ.
